ABOUT
Jhunu Sarkar : Painter
“I’m an artist. I was born in Calcutta (1984), Masters from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University (2016). I
am a self taught artist. I like to do paintings because painting is a way to express my thoughts and
emotions. Painting itself is self enlightenment. As an artist I have lot of working experience, how to
create and put colour and composition in a concept. My work is specially all about playing with colours
and forming layers of colour and creating force with them on the canvas. My theme is about curiosity
innocence bonding and depicting the colours of life and natural beauty of the world; ones whose very
presence bring Joy to our life.”
Working skill:-
Assisted Artist Ranjit Sarkar for 20 years. Initially I passed a three year diploma of Sarba Bhartiya Kala
Parishad from Kolkata. For long time I have been attending art exhibitions to gain inspiration. I curated
my first group show ‘Black’ at Lalit Kala academy New Delhi 2015. In that time period I have developed
my abstract thought and had a exhibition at Lokayata art gallery Hauzkhas Village New Delhi 2016. Yet I
have attended various group exhibitions in India and abroad.
